Sr. Business Analyst/PM

Washington, DC / Remote

Position Description

The Business Analyst will act also act as a Project Manager to coordinate efforts with the client business owner to define the scope of a project / release, develop schedule, requirement documents, use cases, activity diagrams, flowcharts, and supplemental specifications to describe the application requirements. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing schedule, risk/impediment, and project coordination support to proactively manage Agile-based development on small- and medium-sized projects
  • Leading the interaction with various business stakeholders to gather, organize, and evaluate business requirements
  • Documenting and reviewing the business requirements with various business and technology stakeholders
  • Converting requirements into User Stories
  • Maintain project schedule and roadmaps
  • Coordinating with various business groups and technology groups and derive business solutions
  • Preparing process mapping artifacts, test plan, test cases, and develop use cases
  • Coordinating and performing user acceptance testing
  • Assist the development team in debugging and reproducing reported issues

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years of related IT experience
  • Experience leading/managing small to medium project teams
  • Experienced in requirements gathering and translating business use cases to technical requirements documentation
  • Experience with business requirements analysis and evaluation
  • Experience working with developers during systems design and development activities
  • Experience supporting Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions
  • Experience utilizing various requirements elicitation techniques
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and a proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong organization skills managing and evaluating information from a variety of sources
  • Driven, proactive management style requiring minimal oversight 
  • Must be a US Citizen

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Agile / Scrum methodology
  • Experience with analyzing requirements as related to COTS-based solutions (specifically, ServiceNow)
