ServiceNow Solutions Architect

Position Description

The Senior ServiceNow Solutions Architect will be part of a growing company that is helping customers build complex business applications on the ServiceNow platform. They will have a role supporting delivery of multiple project teams, as well as helping to grow the ServiceNow practice within the company. They will participate in pre-sales demos and business development activities and help create reusable solutions that can be used across customer projects.  Project delivery work includes business analysis and development support to identify/document manual activities, create workflow, automation, application development, testing, evaluation, software lifecycle methodologies and risk management. Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Understand the plaform architecture and guidance/policy/requirements for the platform, including infrastructure, security requirements, privacy, integrations, etc.;
  • Design solution architectures based upon functional and non-functional requirements, to include potential ServiceNow modules, third-party ServiceNow add-ons, internal/external authentication, integrations, etc.;
  • Provide SME-level guidance on implementation considerations at both the ServiceNow platform and solution levels;
  • Conduct alternatives analysis and present objective recommendations to decision makers;
  • Guide development teams in implementation of solution architectures;
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise data standards and information sharing;
  • Providing input and assistance in addressing any IT Security-related Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM)s and patching

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years experience as an Architect on large and complex business systems that include integrations, security, platform management, governance.
  • Must have in-depth and hands-on experience with implementing ServiceNow solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with planning solutions that focus on low code / no code implementations, customizing only when necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and implementing bi-directional integrations between ServiceNow and other systems. 
  • Experience with guiding ServiceNow solution architectures, providing alternatives analysis and recommendations, projects.
  • One or more ServiceNow certifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate with audiences at all levels (e.g., Executive Management, Management, Technical Team Members).
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related IT field.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Desirable Skills

  • Strong connections with ServiceNow sales and partner teams
  • Experience working in a federal government environment
  • Experience using Agile methodologies to plan and implement solutions
  • Agile/Scrum certifications
  • Active federal government public trust clearance
