Project Administrator

I Street, NW, Washington DC

Position Description

The Project Administrator works directly with the customer Project Managers to execute daily management functions across multiple project teams. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, development staff, and division representatives to enable completion of project requirements
  • Prepare and complete documentation (e.g., status reports, tasker responses). Manage development of project deliverables
  • Assist with requirements optimization and prioritization
  • Maintain an Integrated Master Schedule of all projects, critical milestones, delivery dates, and project interdependencies
  • Conduct analysis, resolve problems, define and track metrics and report status
  • Ensure completion of required SDLC documentation and adherence to policies and guidance
  • Manage and monitor risks/issues
  • Monitor project scope and report on changes, focused on those that may impact cost or schedule​
  • Prepare and conduct meetings to elicit, document, and manage stakeholder requirements

Required Skills

  • BS or BA degree in IT or business related major
  • 6 years of experience in a project administration role on IT projects
  • Ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, listen comprehensively, and look for opportunities to improve
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with multiple teams and other stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Creative thinking to improve current processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Desirable Skills

  • Experience using SharePoint
  • Active government public trust clearance
  • Experience working on IT systems development projects
  • Experience working with formal SDLC standards and Agile methodologies
