Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

Position Description

Their responsibilities will include:

  • Be a part of a team that will plan, manage, and administer an Enterprise Azure subscription models across multiple business units across a large-scale enterprise
  • Create, configure, and manage tenants, domains, organizational settings, and organizational profiles
  • Implement directory synchronization with directory services, federation services, and Azure endpoints by using Azure AD Connect
  • Implement and manage Azure tenant security, incident investigation, and overall tenant threat protection
  • Develop policies to manage access to cloud apps, respond to security alerts, monitor for unauthorized cloud applications
  • Create and manage internal service health response plan including health alerts and service requests
  • Implement information protection solutions, sensitivity labels and policies, and DLP policies, and integration with enterprise monitoring tools
  • Work with technical leads and cloud architects to provide input and hands-on management in the areas of VPN tunnels, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoutes, Network Security Groups, Firewalls, Resource Groups, File Storage options, Load-balancing, and Active Directory Federated Services. 

Required Skills

  • At least 5 years of Microsoft-based architecture and infrastructure experience
  • At least 3 years of experience with architecture design, migration, and infrastructure support for the enablement of large enterprise-wide Azure environments
  • Experience and understanding of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth2, OData, OpenID Connect, Microsoft identities (including Azure AD and Microsoft accounts), Azure AD B2C, and permission/consent concepts
  • In-depth familiarity with scalable architectures using Azure App Service, API management, serverless technologies, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry etc.), API management, microservice frameworks etc.
  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of infrastructure as code tools like Terraform

Desirable Skills

  • Experience supporting federal government customers
  • Active federal government public trust clearance
  • Any of the following Microsoft certifications:
  • Exam AZ-303: Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies
  • Exam AZ-304: Microsoft Azure Architect Design
  • Exam SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator
  • MCSE: Core Infrastructure (preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred)
