.NET Developer

Position Description

​​The mid-level .NET developer will work with a team to design, develop, integrate, test, and implement business solutions that involve the .NET Framework, Visual Basic, XML, and SQL Server. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Building custom integration for secure file transfers, using Visual Basic and the .NET framework
  • Absorbing and parsing XML data and transcripts for storage into SQL Server
  • Migrating automated report generation from Access to SQL Server
  • Automate routing of output reports into a secure application

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related IT field
  • IT Professional with a good understanding of the Microsoft technology stack.
  • 4+ years of .NET Framework and C# and Visual Basic application development experience.
  • Experience working with XML processing
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and possess the ability to take on projects and tasks with little direction and apply good judgment on decision-making skills A history of meeting deadlines and delivering high quality results.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team as well as individually for specific tasks

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Experience with report development and integration
  • Prior Federal Government consulting experience
  • Active Federal Government Public Trust Clearance
