SharePoint Migration Architect

Position Description

​The SharePoint Architect will be the lead technical resource for a team performing a large scale migration from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online. They will lead the technical assessment, help create the migration plan, install necessary migration software, perform migration testing, remediate issues, redevelop solutions as needed, and perform the final migration. Specific duties include:

  • Install and configure Metalogix
  • Perform analysis of the SharePoint 2013 environment
  • Identify potential challenges with the migration and plan workarounds / mitigations
  • Perform test migrations
  • Fix errors and redevelop solutions, as needed
  • Provide SharePoint migration technical guidance to the team
  • Provide guidance on the adoption of new cloud services, such as Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Apps

Required Skills

  • At least 8 years of SharePoint experience
  • Experience architecting, building, and maintaining large scale SharePoint Farms supporting at least 3,000 users
  • Experience architecting and building complex SharePoint solutions
  • Hands-on experience planning and performing large scale SharePoint migrations to SharePoint Online
  • Hands-on experience using Metalogix for SharePoint migrations
  • Strong knowledge of O365 / SharePoint Online and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate / Flow, Power BI)

Desirable Skills

  • Microsoft SharePoint certifications
  • Active Federal Government Public Trust clearance
