Business Analyst

Position Description

​The Business Analyst is a key member of the IT implementation team. In addition to being responsible for business analysis, the BA will be responsible for coordinating all project scope-related activities, including gathering requirements to analyze, design and/or implement technology best practice business changes. He or she will work with senior members of the team ensuring the successful delivery of a COTS implementation. Key Responsibilities include the following:

  • Work with Delivery Lead/Project Manager to maintain and coordinate communication with the customer/client throughout each project.
  • Work with the project team to gather the business and functional requirements, by scoping defining, and prioritizing requirements.
  • Mapping functional requirements to COTS product features and functionality.
  • Understand and document requirements for configuring, testing and launching the COTS solution.
  • Understand business requirements and identify product requirements for future enhancements.
  • Create and manage user stories for the Agile development team.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile inconsistency and break down high-level information into details.
  • Work with Architect and Developers to transform new requirements into design and implementation.
  • Develop, maintain with perform processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity in platform applications with the Platform Administrator and functional managers to create training materials and documentation for application users and help train new end users.
  • Support testing cycles (UAT, regression, system) and/or Training/Training Materials.

Required Skills

  • At least 4 years of IT experience in Business Analyst roles
  • At least 2 years of experience working on IT implementation projects using CRM / BPM COTS products (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Pega, Appian, etc.).
  • Solid functional and/or industry knowledge with CRM / BPM COTS products, such as MS Dynamics, Salesforce, Pega, Appian.
  • Experience working on Agile development teams
  • Experience gathering requirements and documenting them into user stories

Desirable Skills

  • Experience implementing case management or task management systems with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / CRM
  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications
  • Experience supporting federal government customers
  • Active federal government public trust clearance
