SharePoint Developer

Position Description

​The SharePoint Developer will design and build SharePoint applications using customization and configuration techniques. The candidate will work directly with customers to design and develop solutions using out-of-the box SharePoint features. Where feature gaps are identified, they will design solutions which extend SharePoint through various customization techniques or integration of third party products. Job functions include the following:

  • Work with customers to design, develop, administer and maintain SharePoint based business solutions.
  • Design solutions based on established patterns and best practices around Content Management, User Adoption, Governance and Change Management.
  • Design and develop content management, records management, workflows, business intelligence type of solutions using the SharePoint platform.
  • Design and develop apps for SharePoint that take advantage of standard web technologies, such as CSOM, JavaScript, OAuth, and OData.
  • Requires 100% work at the customer site in Washington, DC

Required Skills

  • 5+ years working with enterprise level IT systems
  • 3-4 years building SharePoint sites using out-of-the-box components. Experience should be SharePoint 2013 or higher.
  • 2+ years using jQuery, SharePoint CSOM/JSOM, or JSLink
  • Strong general web development skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Demonstrable SharePoint experience creating Interactive list forms, Dashboards, Complex workflows, and Custom master pages and page layouts
  • Experience using version control systems (e.g. Git, TFS)
  • Experience working in a collaborative agile team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, specifically listening to customer needs, restating those needs, and documenting your work

Desirable Skills

  • Active federal government public trust clearance
  • Microsoft SharePoint certifications
