The SharePoint Administrator will be part of team responsible for effectively administering and managing their SharePoint environment to enable utilization of its best-of-breed platform and collaboration capabilities to support over 7,000 users. The SharePoint Admin will configure SharePoint and install patch updates in three environments - Development, User Acceptance Testing, and Production. They will work as part of a team using Agile methodologies to document, test, implement, and support activities associated with SharePoint 2016. The SharePoint Administrator should understand the current version, future enhancements, service packs/updates and upgrades of SharePoint, as well as best practices for maintaining the environments. While the candidate will not be responsible for directly managing the SQL instance, they should be familiar with the Windows Server OS and SQL Server capabilities. Daily duties will include the following:
- Administering and maintaining SharePoint Dev, Test, and Production environments
- Making technical recommendations in the area of performance improvements and availability such as redundancy architecture and load balancing
- Managing all updates, patches, bug fixes, and other deployments to the applications and the SharePoint Farm
- Working hand in hand with developers to create sites/lists and implement custom solutions for critical business needs, utilizing skills with web parts and work flows
- Collaborating with customers and business analysts to design SharePoint solutions that satisfy business requirements
- Reviewing system resources, including ULS and Windows logs, for system health concerns
- Monitoring permissions and audit logs for governance violations
- Developing and implementing critical SharePoint collaboration solutions and sites
- Troubleshooting SharePoint application issues
- Assisting with site content management as requested
