.NET Developer

Position Description

​Working as a member of the project team, develops custom Web solutions using ASP.NET and C#. Specific activities include:

  • Developing custom services, components, or modules using ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET MVC, and C# as per the direction from a Technical Lead or Project Manager.
  • Supports existing applications by addressing defects, making minor enhancements and supporting user entered trouble tickets.
  • Use C#/.NET to implement MVC based Responsive Web based applications for desktop, tablet or phone platforms
  • Sustaining and maintaining mobile applications which depend on Web service integration (REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML)
  • Assist with developing, testing, configuring, and deploying technical solutions addressing business challenges within the scope of the project.

Required Skills

  • At least 4 years of .NET Web application development experience (more experience required for senior level positions).
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Hands on experience with most of the following: .NET, C#, C++, ASP.NET, Ajax, jQuery, MVC, , WCF.
  • Experience with MVC, MVVM, C#, Entity Framework, Linq, OOP/OOD, HTML5, jQuery, T-SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, Telerik Kendo UI
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, TFS, and good knowledge of continuous integration process
  • Experience writing SQL queries (for Oracle or SQL Server)
  • Good understanding of iOS and Android platforms using both native coding strategies (iOS SWIFT or objective C), .Net XAMARIN etc.
  • Understanding WCF Service/Web Service deployment process
  • Understanding of testing tools and unit testing, integration test scripting, and testing methodologies

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working on project teams directly supporting Federal Government customers.
  • Active Federal Government Public Trust clearance.
  • Applicable Microsoft certifications.
