Rational Tool Technical Lead

Position Description

The Rational Tool Technical Lead will serve as a subject matter expert on the use of Rational tools, such as Jazz, Rational DOORS Next Generation (RDNG), Rational Team Concert (RTC), Rational Change and Configuration Management (CCM), Rational Quality Manager (QM), Rational Functional Tester (RFT), Rational Test Workbench (RTW) and Rational Performance Tester (RPT). They will mentor and help project delivery teams transition into the use of these tools for Agile development, test automation and DevSecOps. They will setup processes and create standards for the use of the tools. They will mentor and train users. They will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrade of the software. They will oversee a team of administrators and support personnel that maintain the suite of products. They will be an advocate for the use of the tools across the organization.

Required Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience administering and maintaining the suite of IBM Rational tools, including Jazz, Rational DOORS Next Generation (RDNG), Rational Team Concert (RTC), Rational Change and Configuration Management (CCM), Rational Quality Manager (QM), Rational Functional Tester (RFT), Rational Test Workbench (RTW) and Rational Performance Tester (RPT)
  • Experience establishing DevOps or DevSecOps processes, such as CI/CD, using the Rational tools
  • Experience with enabling automated testing using the Rational tools
  • Experience customizing Rational tools to support customer processes
  • Knowledgeable of SQL Server and PowerShell
  • Knowledgeable of open source tools for DevSecOps, such as Jenkins or SonarQube
  • Experience establishing and working in an Agile Scrum environment

Desirable Skills

  • Federal Government experience
  • Federal Government Public Trust clearance
  • JavaScript coding
  • Powershell scripting
  • Experience with SolarWinds, Kerberos, Jenkins, SonarQube, IBM AppScan
