SharePoint Developer / Administrator

Position Description

​The successful candidate must be skilled in developing SharePoint applications using customization and configuration techniques. The candidate will work directly with the customer project manager to assess the current environment, prepare for migrating existing SharePoint 2013 environment to the Cloud, develop solutions using out-of-the box SharePoint features and design solutions which extend SharePoint through various customization techniques. Job functions include the following:

  • Work with customers and their internal development teams in designing, administration and maintenance of SharePoint 2013 and future SharePoint cloud-based business solutions.
  • Design solutions based on established patterns and best practices around Content Management, User Adoption, Governance and Change Management.
  • Provide comprehensive content management strategies by creating and modifying SharePoint pages, columns, lists, and libraries.
  • Utilize web parts to design and create SharePoint sites by developing solutions that comply with SharePoint development best practices.
  • Design and create SharePoint workflows in compliance with established Governance policies.
  • Create and update user-friendly InfoPath form solutions to streamline business processes and improve coordination across business teams.
  • Collaborate with existing SharePoint team to create and administer SharePoint sites.
  • Validate functional and technical requirements with the relevant business and information technology stakeholders.
  • Assist with analysis of current SharePoint 2013 environments and provide guidance on effective migration path to the SharePoint cloud-based platform.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to attain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Must be able to work at the customer site in downtown DC five days per week

Required Skills

  • At least 6 years of relevant IT experience
  • Hands-on experience designing SharePoint 2013 solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • In depth understanding of the features and capabilities of SharePoint 2013.
  • SharePoint experience must include out-of-the-box and SharePoint designer workflows, Business Connectivity Services, and SharePoint InfoPath configuration and development.
  • Solid Knowledge of SharePoint administration, security configuration and availability design.
  • Experience implementing and deploying custom features to enhance out-of-the-box SharePoint features and functionality.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint 2013 upgrade, online or cloud migration.
  • Experience working with SharePoint Online / Office 365
  • SharePoint 2010, 2013, or 2016 developer certifications.
  • Experience with federal government consulting
  • Active Federal Government public trust clearance
