SharePoint Administrator

Position Description

​The SharePoint Administrator supports the front-end configuration and maintenance of SharePoint site collections and content, as well as Farm Administration through Central Administration. The Administrator will also play a key role in helping to prepare for and execute a migration from SharePoint 2013 to Office 365 / SharePoint Online. Anticipated daily activities include:

  • Managing the functionality of features such as Search
  • Viewing Audit log reports
  • Creating and maintaining site collections and sites
  • Updating security and user access following established governance policies
  • Participating in planning and execution of tasks related to Office 365 migration
  • Providing support and guidance to the organization for best practices
  • Engage with users and stakeholders to improve the usability of the platform and help increase user engagement and adoption
  • Support light development of new features, as well as modifications to existing forms, lists, libraries, et al

Required Skills

  • At least 6 years of IT experience working as a SharePoint Administrator supporting enterprise-wide deployments
  • At least 2 years of experience providing Farm-level administration and support via Central Administration
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer to administer sites and site collections, creating workflows
  • Experience with creating and updating InfoPath Forms
  • Good written and oral communication, strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work at the client site in Washington, DC

Desirable Skills

  • Development experience creating front-end solutions using jQuery, JavaScript, CSS
  • Consulting experience for Federal Government customers
  • SharePoint or related Microsoft technology certifications
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
