Test Automation Developer

Position Description

The Test Automation Developer will be responsible for creating manual and automated test scripts using the enterprise Rational tools (including Rational Functional Tester, Rational Performance Tester, and Rational Test Workbench) as well as designing and implementing testing frameworks and scripts using Visual Studio’s CodedUI testing tools. The candidate will be required to work with application teams to understand the test automation needs for their applications, provide recommendations on tools and techniques, and be actively engaged in developing scripts to reduce the maintenance overhead for the organization.

Required Skills

  • At least 4 years of experience with Test Automation in an enterprise environment
  • 1+ year(s) of experience using the Rational testing suite: Rational Functional Tester, Rational Test Workbench, Rational Performance Tester
  • 1+ year(s) of experience developing Test automation Frameworks utilizing Object Oriented design patterns
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Experience with Visual Studio CodedUI test tool
  • Proficiency with object-oriented programming languages such as C# and Java
  • Good communications and experience in customer service
  • Able to pass government security clearance process

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge and experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Federal Government consulting experience
  • Active Federal Government Public Trust clearance
