Microsoft Support Consultant

Washington, DC

Position Description

The successful candidate must be dedicated to customer service and help desk support for Microsoft based business applications. Experience with supporting case management processes and software, phone and email support, as well as familiarity with supporting client operations is paramount. The candidate will work primarily in the support of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint based applications. The candidate may also be required to participate in Microsoft solution development utilizing client-side scripting, out of the box solution configuration and SharePoint Designer. Specific duties include:

  • Reporting of support case resolution metrics
  • Establishing and contributing to support procedures and documentation
  • Contributing to development of support and follow up procedures and systems
  • Design and develop SharePoint 2016 solutions utilizing client-side JavaScript, SharePoint Designer, Out-of-the-Box features, InfoPath forms, Web Forms and SharePoint Security Groups and Roles
  • Refining and documenting requirements conveyed for Dynamics CRM and SharePoint solutions and support cases
  • Design, develop and customize team sites, libraries, lists, views, and workflows
  • Maintain FAQs, Knowledge Base, and Standard Operating Procedures

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 3 years of overall IT experience
  • Experience working in an IT support role for Microsoft SharePoint or Dynamics CRM
  • Experience with SharePoint or Dynamics configuration or light client side development
  • Experience with Support and Help Desk Procedures and Software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with both SharePoint and Dynamics CRM
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2016
  • Microsoft SharePoint for Dynamics certifications
  • Experience using ServiceNow as a help desk ticketing system
