Lead Business Analyst

Position Description

The Lead Business Analyst will work with the client business owner to define the scope of a project / release, as well as develop user stories and functional requirement documents to describe the application requirements to support the project scope. The Lead BA will also be responsible for managing one of more small development teams, including developing and adhering to project schedules, facilitating internal and customer meetings, as well as working with the Government Project Manager to support the customer software development lifecycle.  Additional responsibilities include:

  • Managing and providing guidance to one or more small development teams consisting of analysts, developers, and testers
  • Leading the interaction with various business stakeholders to gather, organize, and evaluate business requirements
  • Documenting and reviewing the business requirements with various business and technology stakeholders
  • Coordinating with various business groups and technology groups and derive business solutions
  • Converting requirements into User Stories
  • Coordinating and performing user acceptance testing

Required Skills

  • At least 6 years of experience working as a team lead and/or business or systems analyst on web application development projects
  • Experience working on and leading Agile Scrum teams
  • Experience with business requirements gathering, analysis and evaluation
  • Experience translating high level business requirements into user stories
  • Experience using Agile management tools such as Azure DevOps
  • Experience working with developers during systems design and development activities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and a proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Visio and Project

Desirable Skills

  • Federal Government Consulting experience
  • Federal Government Public Trust Clearance
  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Experience working with Microsoft technologies (SharePoint, Dynamics, Power Platform)
