.NET Developer

Position Description

Working as a member of the project team, the .NET developer builds custom web solutions using ASP.NET and C# that integrate with the MS Office Object Model as well as within other Microsoft applications (e.g., SharePoint). Specific activities include:

  • Experience building MS Office Automation Solutions using .NET and the MS Office Object Model
  • Experience working with XML to extract data from an object model
  • Developing custom services, components, or modules using ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET MVC, and C# as per the direction from a Technical Lead or Project Manager.
  • Supports existing applications by addressing defects, making minor enhancements and supporting user entered trouble tickets.
  • Developing solutions that uses JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, jQuery, AngularJS, Backbone, and Node.js.
  • Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3.
  • Assist with developing, testing, configuring, and deploying technical solutions addressing business challenges within the scope of the project.

Required Skills

  • At least 6 years of web application development experience, primarily using the .NET framework
  • Understanding of the MS Office Object Model
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Hands on experience with most of the following: .NET, C#, C++, ASP.NET, React, Angular, jQuery, MVC, SQL Server programming
  • Familiarity with the following: XML, HTML 5, Bootstrap, and CSS3
  • Experience developing SQL statements and stored procedures

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with WordprocessingML or WordML 
  • Experience working on project teams directly supporting Federal Government customers
  • Active Federal Government Public Trust clearance
  • Applicable Microsoft certifications
