Project Administrator

Position Description

The responsibilities of the Project Administrator include the following:

  • Provide administrative assistance for project team (e.g., schedule and facilitate meetings, produce meeting materials/minutes/action items, coordinate attendee schedules, etc.)
  • Responsible for assignments such as new staff on-boarding, maintenance of distribution lists, and serves as the administrative point person for all team members
  • Research, compile, process, and coordinate project data e.g. data entry, report generation, and work plans
  • Tailor documentation based on the audience’s existing knowledge about the material they are discussing
  • Closely work with subject-matter experts (SMEs) to capture and complete technical writing tasks
  • Assists with providing quality control / proofreading / editing documents / communications
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and high quality presentations
  • Provide support with project schedule management
  • File documents / deliverables in appropriate designated project repositories
  • Provide Tier II help-desk support for IT systems supported by the project team

Required Skills

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in information technology or related field
  • Good knowledge of project administration tasks, techniques, and tools
  • Must have general understanding of systems, technology, best practices, and related business processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to mitigate team conflict and communication problems
  • Ability to facilitate team meetings effectively
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
  • Must have strong proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Critical thinking, complex problem solving, and judgment and decision making ability
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Good organization, planning, motivation, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • College Degree

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Project Professional & Project Server
  • Understanding of SharePoint Document Management Capabilities
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum Methodology
