Technical Lead

Position Description

The Technical Lead will provide technical leadership and hands-on design/development for a portfolio of custom software applications. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Designs, develops, and implements enhancements to existing applications.
  • Designs architecture for new applications.
  • Reviews design and code of other developers.
  • Creates, maintains, and communicates development standards.
  • Supports software change management, release management, and configuration management.
  • Maintains COTS development software.
  • Resolves difficult helpdesk incidents or customer issues.
  • Serve as the technical team expert and chief troubleshooter
  • Oversees, recommends, and implements application solutions and enhancements to ensure an improvement in system reliability and performance

Required Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in multi-tier architecture/software development using Microsoft technologies
  • Hands-on experience with solution architecture, software application design and development using .NET, SharePoint, and/or SSRS.
  • Experience in a senior developer / technical lead role with responsibility to oversee and guide the work of other developers.
  • Experience developing reporting or business intelligence solutions.
  • Ability to work closely with a diverse team including architects, developers, database administrators, business analysts, testers, technical writers, configuration managers, project managers and business users
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and strong team building skills, as well as strong customer service skills

Desirable Skills

  • >Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems a plus
